Red Bay/Labrador Sea
Day six took us to Red Bay in Labrador. Once again, we had to take a tender to shore. although we had not booked an excursion, we did want to go into town. It was a very small town and the Whaler's Station restaurant, which was the only one in town, was in the process of serving two busloads of tourists that had just arrived. So, we looked through the gift shop then left to visit the nearby whaling museum, which was a very well done. Among the exhibits was this model of a whaling ship from that era and lots
of information about the history of
whaling in Red Bay.
We decided that we would go back
to the ship for lunch because it had
become quite cold and windy. As we
waited for the next tender, we were
entertained by a local musician as he was
playing near the dock.

Day seven was a cold,
windy day at sea.
